PESCHIERA DEL GARDA
Peschiera del Garda lies at the southernmost part of Lake Garda, right on the Mincio River. The old town of Peschiera lies within a fortress surrounded by canals and is a small jewel of architecture, art and culture. Not only that, with its narrow lanes it also invites you to stroll and linger.
The little town lives from winegrowing and agriculture, small industry and tourism. The latter benefits above all from its location and is therefore an ideal starting point for the surrounding cycle routes, nature and amusement parks.
Peschiera was and still is an important hub, not only because of its proximity to Verona, 25 km away. From the harbour all boats depart to the towns on Lake Garda, and its accessibility for travellers by car, plane or train is also excellent:
